SANYO DENKI Develops Highly Reliable, Energy-saving Hybrid UPS.

Tokyo, Japan, Oct 5, 2005 - (JCNN JCNN Japan Corporate News Network ) - SANYO DENKI will market its new hybrid UPS (uninterruptible power supply See UPS.

(hardware) Uninterruptible Power Supply - (UPS) A battery powered power supply unit that is guaranteed to provide power to a computer in the event of interruptions in the incoming mains electrical power.
), SANUPS E11A, beginning on November 1, 2005, both in and outside Japan.

The UPS has achieved its heat exchange efficiency up 4% from existing models, and also automatically selects the most appropriate power supply mode among the three choices (under good supply conditions, under bad load power conditions, and under poor supply conditions), depending on the situation.

The supply unit also performs a regular battery test by itself, so it can be ready for power failure. It is compatible with overseas safety standards, such as UL (E226092), CE and FCC (1) (Federal Communications Commission, Washington, DC, www.fcc.gov) The U.S. government agency that regulates interstate and international communications including wire, cable, radio, TV and satellite. The FCC was created under the U.S.  (Part 15 Subpart B Class A).

The company aims for its sales of 12,000 units for FY2005, and 24,000 for FY2006. The price is not fixed.
