SANTA CLARITA REP'S CHRISTMAS MUSICAL TO OPEN.Byline: Daily News NEWHALL - The Santa Clarita Repertory Theatre's comedy holiday musical, ``The Butterfingers but·ter·fin·gers pl.n. (used with a sing. verb) A person who tends to drop things. but ter·fin Angel, Mary & Joseph, Herod The Nut, and the Slaughter of 12 Hit Carols in a Pear Tree'' opens at 8 p.m. Friday with an Opening Night Wine and Cheese Party at 7 p.m. ``The Butterfingers Angel'' will run through Dec. 20 at the Rep, 24266 San Fernando Road San Fernando Road is a major street in the city and county of Los Angeles. It starts off in Castaic as The Old Road, passing through Santa Clarita and the Newhall Pass, where upon its intersection with Sierra Highway near the junction of the Golden State (I-5) and the , Newhall. ``We feel this hysterical comedy with music is appropriate for ages 12 and above and is rated PG,'' said Craig Duswalt, the rep's producing artistic director. ``There is absolutely no foul language, but there are some very, very minor situations that might not be comfortable for children under 10. And I emphasize 'might.''' ``The Butterfingers Angel'' is written by William Gibson, directed by Michael Kosik, with musical direction and all arrangements by William Thomas Jr. The show features 12 Christmas carols and tells the story of Mary and Joseph and the birth of Jesus. An angel comes down from heaven to tell Mary she's going to have a baby, and tells Joseph he must care for Mary. But in this version of the greatest story ever told, nothing goes right for the ``Butterfingers Angel.'' ``The Butterfingers Angel'' stars Chris LoPrete as the Angel, Ally LoPrete as Mary, Bruce Dworkin as the Man in Grey, Jared Vandegrift as Joseph, and Therese McLaughlin as the Tree. Douglas recently moved to the area from Phoenix and is currently in the graduate program at California State University, Northridge CSUN offers a variety of programs leading to bachelor's degrees in 61 fields and master's degrees in 42 fields.
