SANTA CLARITA MAN CARJACKED AT ATM.

CANYON COUNTRY - A Santa Clarita Santa Clarita, city (1990 pop. 110,642), Los Angeles co., S Calif., suburb 30 mi (48 km) NW of downtown Los Angeles, on the Santa Clara River; inc. 1987. Situated in the Santa Clara valley and nearby canyons, Santa Clarita includes the former towns of Canyon Country,  man was robbed early Friday at a Canyon Country bank ATM of the money he had just withdrawn and his pickup truck, sheriff's officials said.

The passenger in the suspects' car got out, got into the victim's truck and both drove away.

A short time later, a caller told sheriff's deputies that two men were seen pushing a vehicle over a cliff off of Sand Canyon Road, a half-mile north of Soledad.

Deputies found the victim's truck over the cliff. The mangled truck was retrieved by dawn and held at an impound impound v. 1) to collect funds, in addition to installment payments, from a person who owes a debt secured by property, and place them in a special account to pay property taxes and insurance when due.  yard as evidence, a sheriff's spokesman said.
