SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 17, 2003

SANRAD Incorporated, a leader in iSCSI SAN solutions and a member of Novell's iSCSI development program, today announced that its vSwitch -iSCSI Virtualization An umbrella term for enhancing a computer's ability to do work. Following are the ways virtualization is used.

"NetWare 6.5 supports new storage area network features that make it simple for NetWare environments to migrate to a robust storage area network," commented Richard Jones, Novell Storage Product Manager. "NetWare 6.x provides storage virtualization Treating storage as a single logical entity without regard to the hierarchy of physical media that may be involved or that may change. It enables the applications to read from and write to a single pool of storage rather then individual disks, tapes and optical devices.  for simple capacity provisioning and volume spanning. We have also introduced data replication to support high availability requirements. With SANRAD and its vSwitch, our customers have the ability to easily and quickly build robust IP SANs for their NetWare applications."

The combination of NetWare's new array of storage management and SANRAD's vSwitch storage architecture delivers a highly available, scaleable and easy to manage IP SAN solution for Novell's enterprise-class and mid-tier customer base. These customers require performance, security, investment protection and reliability within networked storage architecture. Using NetWare and SANRAD's vSwitch, users can consolidate servers and diverse storage systems in an easy to manage storage area network (SAN).

Novell and SANRAD are providing powerful data availability and storage management tools to mid-range and enterprise customers. NetWare 6.5 storage features increase productivity while driving down the overall costs of managing data availability and storage resources. Our vSwitch complements NetWare 6.5 by providing IP SAN participation to legacy SCSI SCSI
