SALICK HEALTH CARE OPENS TENTH DIALYSIS FACILITY

 New Southern California Facility Will Increase
 Company's Total Number of Dialysis Stations to 201


LOS ANGELES, May 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Salick Health Care, Inc. (Nasdaq: SHCID) today announced that USHAWL, its wholly-owned renal dialysis services company, has opened a new 16-station outpatient dialysis facility in Yucca Valley, California. USHAWL now has more than 200 dialysis stations at its ten facilities in Southern California.

Dr. Bernard Salick, Chairman and CEO said, "We are continuing to increase our presence and already strong market share of the kidney dialysis business in Southern California. This new facility will enable Salick Health Care to provide patients in the Hi-Desert, Riverside and San Bernardino County Area better access to the high quality services that we provide to thousands of patients elsewhere in the state."

As part of Salick Health Care's commitment to providing quality, convenient, disease-specific health care, the new facility, located near Hi-Desert Medical Center, incorporates several innovative design features for enhanced patient comfort and service.

Salick Health Care is a leading provider of diagnostic and therapeutic services to patients with complex, chronic illnesses requiring sophisticated long-term care, principally in the areas of cancer, kidney failure, organ transplantation and certain immunodeficiency diseases. The Company provides these services at alternate sites, including outpatient facilities (hospital based and freestanding), selected inpatient sites and patients' homes.

Salick presently operates 10 Comprehensive Cancer Centers across the U.S. as well as ten outpatient dialysis centers in Southern California. Salick recently announced it had entered into a 20 year agreement with Saint Vincent's Hospital to establish a comprehensive cancer center and related network in New York. Saint Vincent's is sponsored by the Archdiocese of New York. Under the Agreement the parties intend to establish a network of affiliated facilities to provide the company's services and programs throughout the greater New York area. The Company also provides inpatient dialysis service at more than 20 hospitals. Its INFUSX subsidiary provides infusion, nutritional and related services in patients' homes. Through SalickNet, Inc., a wholly-owned managed care subsidiary, Salick is meeting the needs of HMOs, managed care entities, self-insured employers and other payors with a series of risk- based products including capitation, point-of-service and outpatient visit groups utilizing proprietary practice guidelines and outcomes analysis.
