SAIC extends global relationship with BP.

Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) has announced an extension of its current portfolio of contracts with BP valued at more than $750M. Under the terms of the new agreement, SAIC will provide BP with efficient and cost-effective information technology (IT) services until 2006.

This new arrangement will enable SAIC to optimize the global IT services provided to BP, underpinned and motivated by collaborative actions to achieve cost leadership in the industry. SAIC will offer BP a whole range of IT services that include infrastructure, datacenter and application support. The essence of the new agreement is based on the long-term relationship between SAIC and BP, and a mutual commitment to achieve the best possible results.

"SAIC's top priority is to ensure that BP is provided with the best possible service and the latest available technology to ensure they can meet their business goals and objectives," said Meyrick Williams, SAIC vice president and BP global account manager. "SAIC has worked closely with BP for 10 years, and we now have restructured and expanded our relationship to provide them with a more cost-effective and efficient service. We look forward to continuing and expanding our relationship with BP."
