SAIC and Boeing, lead systems integrators for the US Army's Future Combat Systems (FCS) programme, are seeking bid proposals to develop Class II and III Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (drone) systems.

SAIC and Boeing, lead systems integrators for the US Army's Future Combat Systems (FCS) programme, are seeking bid proposals to develop Class II and III Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (drone) systems. This solicitation comes as a result of the Army's decision to expand and accelerate the FCS programme. The Class II system is designed to provide reconnaissance, security and early warning, target acquisition and designation at the company level, whereas Class III systems will have greater endurance and larger payload capacities.
