SAIC TEAM AWARDED USDA IT SUPPORT SERVICES CONTRACT.

A team led by Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) today announced an information technology support services (ITSS) contract award from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Farm Service Agency (FSA) and Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS).

This indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) contract has a potential value of $175 million, and will be performed over a period of five years. The contract has a base period of one year, and the option to renew for four years. Under the terms of the contract, the support services will include information technology (IT) development, software maintenance and operational support of systems that meet current and future business and program needs of the FSA and NRCS.

SAIC team members include small businesses, veteran-owned small businesses, small disadvantaged and women-owned small businesses from across the country.

"The ITSS win is an important component of our strategic interests in developing a growing relationship with the USDA as a valuable customer," said Dr. Jurgen Gobien, senior vice president for SAIC's Technology Research Group. "This contract will enable the SAIC team to support the FSA and NRCS with the team's breadth and depth of IT expertise and experience."
