SAIC, POLISH ENVIRONMENTAL FIRM ANNOUNCE AGREEMENT

 FALLS CHURCH, Va., June 3 /PRNewswire/ -- SAIC (Science Applications International Corp.) and PROEKO are pleased to announce their agreement to collaborate on environmental projects in Poland. The companies view the cooperation agreement as a strategic alliance to support environmental protection efforts in Central/Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union.
 SAIC, a U.S. employee-owned scientific and environmental consulting firm with about 15,000 employees, welcomes the opportunity to work with Polish environmental professionals to help improve environmental quality in the region. PROEKO, a Polish environmental consulting firm headed by former Minister of Environment Bronislaw Kaminski, has excellent access to leading specialists and a comprehensive understanding of Polish environmental conditions. PROEKO sees the partnership with the U.S. firm as an ideal way to enhance the effectiveness and scope of its environmental protection activities in Poland.
 Cooperation between the two companies will include development, marketing and implementation of environmental projects in Poland. SAIC is providing a consultant to work on-site with PROEKO to assist with business development, provide advice on entrepreneurial approaches, and to establish an SAIC office co-located with PROEKO in Warsaw.
 The partners offer a full range of environmental and project management services required by industrial facilities, municipalities, regional governments and national programs. Advanced technical expertise is available in the following areas:
 -- Environmental policy analysis and program support;
 -- Water quality management and wastewater treatment;
 -- Air quality management;
 -- Solid and hazardous waste management;
 -- Environmental impact assessments;
 -- Pollution prevention and waste minimization;
 -- Marine and estuarine science;
 -- Complex project design and management;
 -- Finance advisory services; and
 -- Training.
