SAFECARD ELECTS MILLER A DIRECTOR

 CHEYENNE, Wyo., Feb. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- SafeCard Services, Inc. (NYSE: SSI), announced today that Eugene Miller, a retired vice chairman and chief financial officer of USG Corporation and a director of several companies, has been elected to the board of directors.
 During 1968 to 1973, Miller was a senior vice president of the New York Stock Exchange and a member of the exchange's executive committee.
 Miller, a special consultant to the Dilenschneider Group on corporate issues and management strategy, developed an investor relations communication program for SafeCard.
 As a director, Miller will continue to work with SafeCard on corporate strategies and financial communications matters, the company said. He will retain his special consulting role with a variety of clients with the Dilenschneider Group.
 SafeCard Services, Inc., founded in 1969, is one of the nation's largest credit and service organizations.
