Navy Cmdr. Bill White described the unusual situation of soldiers in the Korean War in the words of his commander as they first landed at Korea: ``This may be a police action, but they're using real ammunition out there.'' White also expressed optimism that events like Tuesday's would help people remember the sacrifices of the often-overlooked veterans. ``The Korean War veteran can now raise his head and stand among the other patriotic warriors.''
