S1 Corporation and TECH CORPS Georgia Announce Success of S1 Volunteer Day.

Tech Leader Volunteers Time and Knowledge to Provide Children and

Adults with Skills Needed in Today's High-Tech Environment

S1 Corporation, a leading global provider of eFinance solutions and services, and TECH CORPS Georgia (TCGA), a nonprofit organization that provides low-income families with access to technology tools and resources, today announced the success of the S1 Volunteer Day, held Saturday, July 8th at TCGA's headquarters in East Point, Georgia. Employees from S1 joined TCGA staff members to teach 15 students from Banneker High School how to build their own computer. Volunteers spent five hours helping the students learn how to install hard drives, floppy disk drives, RAM and software and also worked with a group of parents to teach basic computer and word processing skills that are essential in today's high-tech workplace. At the end of the day, the students and parents received refurbished computers, donated by members of the community.

"It is essential that companies within the community ensure that future generations have equal access to the computer equipment and knowledge necessary to compete in today's marketplace," said Charles W. Ogilvie, general manager of S1 Corporation. "The S1 Volunteer Day is one of the many ways we are giving back to the community and supporting its future growth."

According to the executive director of TCGA, Chris Miller, "We hope to expose more of the teachers, parents and students in Metro Atlanta schools and communities to technology and its growing importance in the academic, professional and personal arenas. Nothing does that better than having volunteers from local technology companies, such as S1, show a personal interest in helping them learn."

TECH CORPS Georgia (TCGA), a charter affiliate of the national TECH CORPS organization, was established in 1993 as Computers for Classrooms, Inc. Since that time, TCGA volunteers and staff have refurbished over 1100 donated computers and redistributed them, along with training, to over 520 metro Atlanta K-12 teachers from 42 area schools and over 265 low-income families and students.
