The new Glen Cove store is located at 77 School St. as part of the North Shore Triangle, a 49,597-square-foot shopping center shopping center, a concentration of retail, service, and entertainment enterprises designed to serve the surrounding region. The modern shopping center differs from its antecedents—bazaars and marketplaces—in that the shops are usually amalgamated into development of Kimco Realty. The 2,100-square-foot lease is for a 15-year term and carries an aggregate rent of close to $1 million. The North Shore Triangle is anchored by Staples, Annie Sez and Marty's Shoes. In addition to the Glen Cove location, S&Z has arranged other recent leases for Quiznos on Long Island, including: Levittown, on 2731 Hempstead Turnpike; Baldwin, on 987 Atlantic Ave.; Bellmore, on 2572 Merrick Rd.; East Islip, in Heckscher Plaza; and Inwood at 460 Sheridan Boulevard. Other new locations in the area include Middle Village, on 61-19 Fresh Pond Rd.; Flushing, at 163-15 Northern Blvd., and 37 Hillel Place, near Brooklyn College. Quiznos has more than 4,000 franchised locations, with a new store opening every nine hours. |
