The rating reflects: -- One of the communities in Silicon Valley and home to numerous high-technology firms, -- Very high and increasing assessed valuation, and -- A stable financial performance. The district (estimated population 31,250) is located 60 miles southeast of San Francisco San Francisco (săn frănsĭs`kō), city (1990 pop. 723,959), coextensive with San Francisco co., W Calif., on the tip of a peninsula between the Pacific Ocean and San Francisco Bay, which are connected by the strait known as the Golden and serves most of the unincorporated cities of Menlo Park Menlo Park. 1 Residential city (1990 pop. 28,040), San Mateo co., W Calif.; inc. 1874.
