Rwanda: Disaster Management - Stakeholders Urged On Logistical Coordination.

All parties that have an interest, financial or otherwise, in a firm-stockholders, creditors, bondholders, employees, customers, management, the community, and the government.
 in emergency situations in the country have been called upon to be fruitful in providing standard procurement methods and logistical coordination during catastrophes.

) made the call yesterday while officially opening a two-day workshop of several Non Governmental Organisations held at Telecom House.

The workshop organised by Rwanda National Police, aims at creating awareness and identifying best practices in regard to procurement procedures and rapid response in disasters.

"The DMC experiences some setbacks in terms of procurement procedures and logistical coordination during emergency situations. Stakeholders should therefore set out coherent and harmonious framework for coordination during disaster times," Kaihura said.

), urged stakeholders who included World Food Programme and UNICEF UNICEF (y`nĭsĕf'), the United Nations Children's Fund, an affiliated agency of the United Nations.  among others, to react in extraordinary ways if emergencies have to be dealt with successfully.

He advised them to give quality services in time and to always have clear budgets that would help them during emergency situations.
