Each business day from Oct. 10 through Oct. 23, the company will host open house events at the Rush Equipment Center, 2045 Austin Drive. Lunch will be served to customers, vendors and guests and door prizes will be awarded. On Oct. 24, the company will host a daylong event that will include a Backhoe Rodeo rodeo (rō`dēō, rōdā`ō), public exhibition of the skill of cowboys in various activities. Events include riding broncos, riding steers, "bulldogging" steers, roping and tying steers and calves, the use of the lasso, and , where experienced equipment operators from different companies will compete for prizes by using a backhoe to manipulate objects like eggs and basketballs with precision and dexterity.
