Rush Enterprises, Inc. Announces the Acquisition of Fouts Bros. UD-GMC, Inc.


SAN ANTONIO, Texas -- Rush Enterprises, Inc. (NASDAQ: RUSHA & RUSHB), which operates the largest network of heavy-duty and medium-duty truck dealerships in North America and a John Deere construction equipment dealership in Houston, Texas, today announced that it has acquired Fouts Bros. , Inc., a GMC, UD, Hino Hino (hē`nō), city (1990 pop. 165,928), Tokyo Metropolis, E central Honshu, Japan, on the Asa River. A residential suburb of Tokyo and part of the Keihin Industrial Region, Hino produces automobiles and electrical machinery. and Isuzu medium-duty truck dealer in Smyrna, Georgia. This acquisition marks Rush's entrance into the state of Georgia. Rush will operate this dealership as a full-service Rush Medium Duty Truck Center offering medium-duty GMC, UD, Hino and Isuzu trucks, parts, and service. The purchase price for this acquisition was approximately $9.3 million which was paid in cash.

In making this announcement, W.M. "Rusty" Rush, President and Chief Executive Officer of Rush Enterprises, Inc. stated, "This acquisition complements our strategy to grow our medium-duty business and enhance our ability to service medium-duty customers with a dedicated staff and broad range of product and service offerings. It further strengthens

our contiguous network of distribution across the Southern United States by adding a significant presence in the Atlanta market, one of the largest in the southern corridor.
