Rural/Metro, in Partnership With City of San Diego, Wins 911 Contract to Serve Four San Diego County Communities.

Rural/Metro Corporation (Nasdaq:RURL) announced today that its partnership with the City of San Diego San Diego (săn dēā`gō), city (1990 pop. 1,110,549), seat of San Diego co., S Calif., on San Diego Bay; inc. 1850. San Diego includes the unincorporated communities of La Jolla and Spring Valley. Coronado is across the bay.  -- known as San Diego Medical Services Enterprise, L.L.C. -- has won the contract to provide exclusive 911 ambulance transportation services to the communities of Del Mar Del Mar is the name of several places in the United States of America:

  • Del Mar, Texas
  • Del Mar High School, located in San Jose, California
  • Del Mar Racetrack, located in Del Mar, California

Rural/Metro and the City of San Diego formed a legal partnership in 1997, creating San Diego Medical Services Enterprise, a Limited Liability Corporation (SDMSE).

 communities represent a population of about 120,000 and comprise a 100-square-mile, tax-supported district known as County Service Area 17 (CSA (1) (Canadian Standards Association, Toronto, Ontario, www.csa.ca) A standards-defining organization founded in 1919.
