Rumble gets ready for Grand return.
ONE of Ireland's best greyhounds of recent years, Serene Rumble returns from injury to contest the heats of the valuable Vodafone Grand Prix at Harold's Cross tonight, writes Michael Fortune.
Three heats will be run tonight, with the remaining three on Monday. And Serene Rumble is undoubtedly the star attraction as he goes into action in the second heat. Derby finalist La Fontaine and Ladbroke 600 winner The Other Master are high-profile opponents, but Serene Rumble cannot be opposed. His 30.02sec trial last Friday shows that his injury problems are behind him.
Confident Choice is just that for the opening heat where a trap six draw should see him flash clear with Detagh Davy the major danger.
Strong cases can be made for many of the runners in the third heat and last weekend's Gold Collar finalist Valentia Citrate may prove too strong for Coolavanny Euro and Alamshar.
