Ruckus Wireless Unveils First Video-Grade USB Wireless Adapter, Announces Successful Integration and Interoperability with Motorola IPTV Set-Top.


LAS VEGAS -- Ruckus Wireless today introduced a unique, miniaturized wireless multimedia adapter, the MediaFlex USB USB
 in full Universal Serial Bus

The Ruckus MediaFlex Dongle is an external smart Wi-Fi adapter in an elegant, small form factor, purposed-built to fill a need in the home networking market for low-cost, video-grade wireless client connectivity. The device uses the popular Universal Serial Bus See USB.

The Motorola VIP1720 is the first IPTV set-top to successfully integrate with the Ruckus MediaFlex Dongle. The VIP1720 hybrid set-top integrates IPTV and DVB-T See DVB.  broadcast support into a single device, and supports MPEG-2, MPEG-4/AVC and VC1 video codecs.

At CES, the companies will demonstrate three multicast MPEG-2 streams delivered from a single Ruckus MediaFlex router to three different Ruckus MediaFlex USB Dongles connected to the Motorola VIP1720.
