In a survey conducted of the financial community (1,189 analysts), Rubbermaid received the highest combined ratings out of seven major U.S. rubber and plastics corporations on eight operating performance criteria. The criteria included brand equity, ability to increase revenue and employee relations. The most highly rated criterion for Rubbermaid was brand equity. Nearly three-quarters (73%) of the analysts interviewed predicted institutional investors would demand more such operating performance data in the next two years.
