Rubber finishing.

Proprietary process expertise in synthetic rubber synthetic rubber: see rubber.  finishing is highlighted in the company's two-page bulletin. Dewatering Dewatering (dē′wöd·ər·iŋ) is the removal of water from solid material or soil by wet classification, centrifugation, filtration, or similar solid-liquid separation processes.  (SDU SDU State Disbursement Unit (child support enforcement)

) are said to offer closed system performance to the rubber industry. The closed system design means that minimal off specification material is generated, housekeeping and maintenance are reduced and emissions can easily be lowered, according to the literature. The SDU dewatering extruder, VCU drying extruder, Turbulator and temperature control unit are featured. The finishing system is said to provide advantages in product temperature due to the highly efficient drying effect of the Turbulator. The Turbulator cuts the rubber at high speed in a high velocity stream of air, which aids in liberating the moisture from the rubber, according to the literature. The Turbulator cuts rubber crumb and airveys it to a temperature control unit in a closed tube. The airveying technique is said to allow easy transport of the crumb between the extruder and the temperature control unit.
