Churchill High School graduate Ryan Royster led the Columbus Catfish The Columbus Catfish are a minor league baseball team in Columbus, Georgia. They are a Class A team in the South Atlantic League, and have been a farm team of the Tampa Bay Devil Rays since September 29, 2006.[1]

The Catfish currently play home games at Golden Park.

Corban scores 6-1 victory over Northwest Christian

Megan Waunch scored twice to lead Corban College to a 6-1 victory over host Northwest Christian in a Cascade Conference women's soccer game on Wednesday.

Jacquie Lipp scored NCC's lone goal, tying the score at 1-1 in the third minute.

Corban's Jessica Matthews put Corban up for good two minutes later, and the Warriors (2-1 Cascade, 4-5 overall) tacked on three second-half goals for the final margin.

Beacons goalkeeper Bethany McAlister had nine saves for the Beacons (0-7-1, 0-3).

Emerald Valley golfer earns low-amateur honors

KLAMATH FALLS - Chris Polski of Emerald Valley Golf Course earned low-amateur honors and finished second with a 206 at the Pacific Northwest PGA's Northwest Open Invitational at Running Y Ranch Resort.

Jeff Coston, of Semiahoo Golf and Country Club in Blaine, Wash., won the tournament after shooting 64-68-68-200.

Todd O'Neal, of Emerald Valley, tied for fourth at 209. Birk Nelson, of Diamond Woods, tied for 12th at 212.
