Routing and NGN to Represent the Highest Growth Prospects in Latin America says Pyramid Research.


CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- Pyramid Research expects routing and NGN (Next Generation Networks) An umbrella term for mixed voice and data networks running over the IP protocol. See IP Multimedia Subsystem.  technologies to take a larger part of total CAPEX in Latin America from 2007 onwards, says its latest Analyst Insight.

"Our estimates show the total CAPEX share of these technologies will be reaching close to US$1.03bn," comments author Thomas Dorr Abreu, Senior Analyst at Pyramid.

In the Insight, Abreu considers capital expenditures (CAPEX) and focuses on equipment. Within this segment, Pyramid divided CAPEX into four categories including access, network control and routing, transport networks and software and applications.
