Rothwell and Maglione Join IMG to Head up Sports & Entertainment Worldwide Licensing and Consumer Products.
IMG, the world's leading sports, entertainment and media company, today announced that Tim Rothwell and Bruno Maglione have joined the Company as Executive Vice Presidents and Co-Managing Directors of Worldwide Licensing and Consumer Products. They will report to George Pyne, President, IMG Sports & Entertainment, and will leverage IMG's unique relationships and intellectual property assets to launch innovative licensing programs across the Company's entertainment, media, fashion and sports businesses in North America and internationally. Rothwell will be based in Los Angeles; Maglione in London.

Rick Isaacson, Senior Vice President of IMG Licensing, who launched IMG's licensing division 18 years ago, will continue in a leadership role on key long-term sports brands and properties working with Rothwell and Maglione. Rothwell and Maglione have worked as a team for the past 8 years collecting a solid record of achievement. They were most recently at Marvel Entertainment, where Rothwell served as President of the Worldwide Consumer Products Media Group, a $5 billion business at retail, and Maglione was President of Marvel International. Together they led the licensing strategy for major franchises including Spider-Man, Fantastic Four and X-Men, and helped engineer groundbreaking new deals with companies such as Hasbro, Activision and Microsoft.
Prior to Marvel, Rothwell and Maglione were both with Universal Studios, where Rothwell was Senior Vice President for the Consumer Products Group for 7 years and Maglione was Managing Director and Senior Vice President of Consumer Products Europe & MEA for 5 years. While at Universal Studios, Rothwell and Maglione were responsible for developing innovative launches for some of Hollywood's largest libraries of intellectual property, including Jurassic Park, ET and The Hulk movies, and helped transform the group into a $1 billion business at retail.
Rothwell earned his B.A. from the University of South Carolina. Maglione earned his M.B.A from Harvard and his B.A. from Brown University.
