NEW YORK -- Talented Team Brings Highly Successful Track Record in Building Licensing Programs for TV, Animation, Characters, Brands, Sports, and Estates

IMG, the world's leading sports, entertainment and media company, today announced that Tim Rothwell and Bruno Maglione have joined the Company as Executive Vice Presidents and Co-Managing Directors of Worldwide Licensing and Consumer Products. They will report to George Pyne, President, IMG Sports & Entertainment, and will leverage IMG's unique relationships and intellectual property assets to launch innovative licensing programs across the Company's entertainment, media, fashion and sports businesses in North America and internationally. Rothwell will be based in Los Angeles; Maglione in London.

"This is a very significant next step in our strategy to develop our entertainment and media businesses, and more fully leverage our fashion and sports properties, as we continue building IMG's global sports, entertainment and media presence worldwide," commented Ted Forstmann, IMG Chairman & CEO. "With Tim and Bruno's energy, experience and talent, we believe there are unlimited opportunities for IMG, and we are delighted they are joining the company to lead the licensing business around the world."

George Pyne, who was credited with building NASCAR's licensing business to $2 billion during his tenure there, commented, "I know from experience that investing in licensing with world-class talent is an opportunity to exponentially accelerate the growth of all the brands IMG owns and represents around the world. Tim and Bruno have worked together for a number of years with great success, first at Universal Studios and then at Marvel Entertainment, where they launched some of the most significant, innovative, exciting and successful licensing programs for the leading entertainment brands in the world. Adding this accomplished team is a perfect fit with IMG's growth strategy."

Rothwell commented, "Both Bruno and I see great promise in Ted Forstmann's vision for the Company. While we have built many brands and businesses together in the past, we are amazed by the breadth of properties and resources housed within IMG. We are already full of ideas for leveraging IMG's entertainment, media, fashion and sports assets in new and creative ways."

Maglione added, "We are very excited to be joining IMG during this key period of development. IMG's global presence in 60 offices in 30 countries and strong roster of relationships and brands are unique assets with which to work. Together with Ted's compelling new vision for the company, they offer outstanding growth potential."

Rick Isaacson, Senior Vice President of IMG Licensing, who launched IMG's licensing division 18 years ago, will continue in a leadership role on key long-term sports brands and properties working with Rothwell and Maglione. Isaacson commented: "I am excited about Tim and Bruno joining IMG to help us move this business to the next level. Having a team of licensing professionals with diverse experiences from different fields can only have a positive impact on us and on our clients."

Rothwell and Maglione have worked as a team for the past 8 years collecting a solid record of achievement. They were most recently at Marvel Entertainment, where Rothwell served as President of the Worldwide Consumer Products Media Group, a $5 billion business at retail, and Maglione was President of Marvel International. Together they led the licensing strategy for major franchises including Spider-Man, Fantastic Four and X-Men, and helped engineer groundbreaking new deals with companies such as Hasbro, Activision and Microsoft.

Prior to Marvel, Rothwell and Maglione were both with Universal Studios, where Rothwell was Senior Vice President for the Consumer Products Group for 7 years and Maglione was Managing Director and Senior Vice President of Consumer Products Europe & MEA for 5 years. While at Universal Studios, Rothwell and Maglione were responsible for developing innovative launches for some of Hollywood's largest libraries of intellectual property, including Jurassic Park, ET and The Hulk movies, and helped transform the group into a $1 billion business at retail.
