Ross gets recognition for his affordable housing leadership.

Stephen M. Ross, Chairman and CEO of The Related Companies, L.P. and Chairman and Founder of CharterMac, will be honored with the National Housing Conference (NHC) 2005 Housing Person of the Year Award in recognition of his outstanding commitment to and leadership in the fields of affordable housing and community development.

The Related Companies was formed by Ross in 1972 and oversees a real estate portfolio valued at over $12 billion. CharterMac, through its subsidiaries, is one of the nation's leading full-service real estate finance companies, with a strong core focus on multifamily financing. The Award Ceremony and Dinner honoring Ross will be held at the National Building Museum in Washington, DC, on June 15, 2005. Alan Wiener, chairman of American Property Financing, is serving as the chairman of the Dinner Committee and Master of Ceremonies at the gala. Ross is a member of the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors of the Real Estate Board of New York. He also is a member of the Executive Committee and Board of Directors of NYC2012.
