Rose Associates managing agent for two N.Y. properties.

Rose Associates, Inc., one of New York's oldest full-service real estate firms, has been named managing agent for 1000 Park Avenue and the Corinthian at 330 E. 38th Street, both in Manhattan.

The 65-unit, luxury building at 1000 Park Avenue was originally built in 1917 and converted to a co-op in 1987. This apartment house with brown brick and terra-cotta decoration in a neo-Gothic style was designed by Emery Roth for Bing & Bing, one of the city's major developers of luxury residential buildings in the first half of the 20th Century. It features a full array of first class amenities.

The Corinthian is an 850-unit luxury condominium building erected in 1987 and designed by architect Michael Schimenti and Der Scutt Architects. This full-block development between 37th and 38th streets has a distinctive shape of bundled cylinders that affords all the apartments very large, curved bay windows. An onsite parking facility, indoor pool area and beautifully sculptured gardens are among many amenities. The building also features a full array of services including concierge and doorman.

Based in New York City, Rose Associates, Inc. is a developer and manager of prime residential, commercial and retail properties throughout the Eastern Seaboard with projects in New York City, Westchester County, Boston and the greater Washington D.C. area. Cariste and Giannone named principals of Newmark JGT 

William Cariste and Paul E. Giannone have been named Principals of Newmark JGT of New Jersey, LLC (Newmark JGT), a newly formed company created through the merger of New Jersey-based Jacobson, Goldfarb & Tanzman Company, L.L.C. (JGT) and Newmark & Company Real Estate, Inc. (Newmark). Working closely with Stanley Simon, CEO of Newmark JGT, the duo will assist with the day-to-day operations and management of more than 50 professionals and support personnel in the firm's offices in Woodbridge and Rutherford, New Jersey.

With over 30 years in commercial real estate, William Cariste, SIOR, is recognized as a top industry professional. Mr. Cariste joined JGT in 1971 and rose to the rank of Principal in 1984. Widely regarded in the industry for his expertise in both development services and tenant representation, he provides national and international real estate services to corporate and institutional clients. Tenants and developers rely on his expertise in conceiving, approving, leasing and packaging large commercial developments. During his career, he has negotiated, as an exclusive agent for both owners and tenants, over $500 million dollars of commercial transactions. His significant client representations include, Cablevision, Chevron, Amerada Hess, St. Paul Insurance Co., Deloitte Touche, Biomatrix, DiGiorgio Foods, Ralph Lauren and J.M. Huber Corporation.

Cariste is a member of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR). A member since 1985, he was elected 1994 President of the NJ Chapter of the country's leading commercial brokerage organization, and currently serves as President of the Realty Services Industry Group, the Legislative Action Representative of New Jersey's Commercial Real Estate Industry in Trenton. He was also the 1993 President of the International Commercial Realty Services (ICRS), a 1200-member, world-wide affiliation of realty firms, which was the predecessor to GVA Worldwide.

Paul Giannone, a 20-year veteran of commercial real estate, joined JGT in 1986 and became a Principal in 1997. Known for his financial expertise and attention to detail, Mr. Giannone has represented corporate and institutional clients in all facets of real estate negotiation. During his career, Mr. Giannone has represented such high-profile corporate clients as Comdisco Inc., Merck, Bristol-Myers Squibb, General Electric, Bell Atlantic, Bell South, Motorola, Paine Webber, Globespan, AT&T Paradyne, Siemens, Oxford Health. In addition his roster of institutional clients includes Citicorp, The Travelers Realty & Investment Co., Equitable Realty Investment Co., New York Life, and The Principal Insurance Company.

Giannone has completed the Monmouth University Real Estate Institute course curriculum and holds the Certified Commercial Investment Member designation (CCIM). Last year alone, Mr. Giannone successfully completed 600,000 SF in leasing and a number of investment sales for institutional clients. Some of his more significant transaction in 2000 included a 305,000 SF, build-to-suit office lease on behalf of Comdisco with Russo Development which he recently completed with Mr. Cariste, a 110,000 SF office lease on behalf of Impower and the sale of an 85,000 SF facility for Principal Insurance Company.
