Rooting out the gays?Since opening Cactus Canyon Cactus Canyon is a pinball machine produced by Midway (under the Bally brand name). It is the WPC machine with the shortest production run (as the production for the new Pinball 2000 generation had to be started), thus making it a rare machine amongst collectors , a 720-acre clothing-optional campground for gay men near Springfield, Mo., in 1999, co-owners Charles "Chaz" Franzke and James Thideman thought they had seen it all. Their neighbors, they said, had thrown rocks and eggs at them, vandalized their signs, threatened them, and routinely fired gunshots at their property.
