The work is scheduled for completion in June 2004. Until then, the hotel will try to draw people in with a discounted room rate. (Already completed is the enlargement and refurbishment of the hotel's 305 rooms.)

The Roosevelt, of course, hosted the first ever Academy Awards, and it sits across the street from the event's new home, the Kodak Theatre at the Hollywood & Highland entertainment/retail complex.

During its heyday in the 1930's, the hotel operated a swank nightclub called Cinegrill that became a hangout for F. Scott Fitzgerald Noun 1. F. Scott Fitzgerald - United States author whose novels characterized the Jazz Age in the United States (1896-1940)

The club has been refurbished into a 140-seat tiered cabaret and screening room that will be the home of singer-songwriter Michael Feinstein. Hence its name: Feinstein's at the Cinegrill.
