 in the marketing effort, is seeking bids for three development sites and two investment opportunities on the island. The investment opportunities include a garage and a major block of retail space.

The development sites are suitable for a variety of uses, including residential, commercial, retail, cultural, senior housing and hospitality. The sites also offer an ideal environment for scientific research facilities, including live/work options for employees.

The 147-acre Roosevelt Island has significant natural attributes, including waterfront views, open space and a distinct neighborhood character. The island provides mass transit mass transit, public transportation systems designed to move large numbers of passengers. Types and Advantages


Mass transit refers to municipal or regional public shared transportation, such as buses, streetcars, and ferries, open to all on a
 access to waterfront property via the F line subway, the world-famous tram and a bridge.

The offerings include: a 4.5-acre site that covers the width of Roosevelt Island; a one-acre waterfront site on the east side of the island, near the northern tip; a 2.5-acre site that covers the width of Roosevelt Island near the southern tip of the island; a majority interest in a 2,000-space parking garage on the east side of the island; and 80,000 s/f of urban retail space packaged as a grocery anchored shopping center in the middle of the island.
