Ronen Avron Joins TransChip as VP Sales, Rounds Out Management Team; Mr. Avron Brings Strong Credibility in Asian Markets, TransChip's Strongest Customer Base.

RAMAT GAN, Israel -- TransChip Inc., a leading developer of integrated CMOS camera solutions for cameraphones, announced today that Mr. Ronen Avron has joined the company as Vice President of Sales. Mr. Avron joins TransChip from Metalink, where he was VP Worldwide Sales.

Ronen Avron was Vice President of Worldwide Sales at Metalink since May 2002. Prior to that, Mr. Avron served as Regional Director of Sales and Business Development at Gilat Satellite Networks Ltd., where he was responsible for the Asia-Pacific region. Between 1995 and 1999, Mr. Avron was based in Seoul, Korea, where he managed the Korean and Taiwanese offices of Rafael IAA and was responsible for sales, marketing and business development. Before Rafael, Mr. Avron was Sales and Marketing Manager for Asia Pacific at RND Ltd., part of the RAD Group.

TransChip recently announced the release of its two-megapixel (UXGA) CMOS camera module, the AlgoCam(TM) TC7030. The AlgoCam(TM) TC7030 delivers all the required hardware, software, and development tools, enabling camera applications to be designed in a matter of days. The imager samples are currently available and TransChip is expected to be ready for mass production in Q2, 2005.
