Romarco controls a 100% operating interest in Buckskin-National, subject to the terms and obligations of lease agreements between Romarco and three private parties. The Buckskin-National Project is located on the northwest extension of the Carlin car·line or car·lin n. Scots A woman, especially an old one. [Middle English kerling, from Old Norse, from karl, man.] Trend in Nevada. Dr. Tommy Thompson (Romarco's Chief Consulting Geologist and Buckskin-National Project Geologist) is currently conducting detailed geological mapping of the surface and available underground workings, and is supervising a comprehensive soil geochemistry program. It is anticipated that this program will be completed in mid-August, 2004, at which time Romarco's technical team will compile the data generated during the program and identify bonanza vein drill target areas. Permits for upcoming drilling have been applied for and are pending approval from the U.S. Forest Service. Previous limited drilling in the project area has revealed extraordinary enrichments in elements associated with bonanza gold/silver deposits, including: 1,100 feet (335 m) averaging 677 ppm arsenic; 1,040 feet (317 m) averaging 19.5 ppm mercury; 680 feet (207 m) averaging 520 ppm antimony; and 560 feet (170 m) averaging 156 ppm selenium. Additionally, a large portion of the upper elevations of Buckskin buckskin body coat color in horses, varies from yellow to almost brown; the points, including mane, tail, lower limbs are brown to black. Mountain is comprised of intense acid-sulfate alteration, which is a hydrothermal alteration assemblage that occurs above the hydrothermal boiling zone where bonanza ore is expected to be found. Thus, Romarco will be targeting structural zones within the boiling zone below the acid-sulfate assemblage that are indicated by the geological and geochemical data to be favorable for the discovery of bonanza vein deposits. Buckskin-National is a volcanic-hosted gold-silver exploration project situated within the National Mining District, Humboldt County, Nevada Humboldt County is a county located in the U.S. state of Nevada. In 2005, its estimated population was 17,129. Its county seat is Winnemucca6. The county was the site of an arrest in 2000 that led to the U.S. Supreme Court decision Hiibel v. . The National District is located along the northwest extension of the famous Carlin Trend of gold mines, and yielded some of the richest gold ores ever mined in the United States. Geologically, the project area is a 15 million year old volcanic eruptive center dominated by a bi-modal suite of flow domes, dikes, and extrusive rocks that were intensively and extensively altered and mineralized min·er·al·ize v. min·er·al·ized, min·er·al·iz·ing, min·er·al·iz·es v.tr. 1. Mercury ore was mined from the top of Buckskin Mountain, and underground mining along the Bell Vein in the eastern portion of the project area yielded approximately 24,000 ounces (0.75 t) of gold and 300,000 ounces (9.3 t) of silver from ore averaging 0.7 oz/ton gold and 8.8 oz/ton silver (24.0 g/t gold and 302 g/t silver). High grade ore found along this vein is comprised of multi-phase, banded quartz-chalcedony veining with the principal economic minerals consisting of naumannite, pyrargyrite py·rar·gy·rite n. These geological characteristics indicate the project area is analogous to the nearby Ken Snyder Mine (Midas District), Sleeper Mine, Ivanhoe District (Great Basin Gold / Hecla) and the Mule Canyon Mine (all of which are also 15 million years old), and to the Hishikari Mine, Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan. The extent of the altered and mineralized area at Buckskin-National is more than sufficient to contain one of these analogous deposits, and Romarco will be the first company to effectively test the project area for such deposits. Romarco is pleased to have Dr. Thompson as its Project Geologist at Buckskin National. He is currently Director of the Ralph J. Roberts For the American geologist, see . Ralph J. Roberts (born 1925) is the co-founder of Comcast Communications and was its Chief Executive Officer for 40 years. His son, Brian L. Roberts, is the current CEO. Center for Research in Economic Geology, Mackay School of Earth Sciences & Engineering, University of Nevada-Reno, and is also a Professor of Economic Geology in the Department of Geological Sciences also at Mackay. Tommy has been a Consultant to more than 30 exploration and mining companies, and has worked on world-class ore deposits in both North and South America. Additionally, he has studied volcanic rocks, specifically flow dome environments, in Bolivia and Peru during sabbaticals from his academic career. ON BEHALF OF ROMARCO MINERALS INC. Diane R.
