Rohm and Haas wax compounds sold to Hexion.

Hexion Specialty Chemicals, Inc., Columbus, OH, has signed a definitive agreement to purchase the global wax compounds business of Rohm and Haas, Philadelphia, PA. Under the agreement, Hexion will acquire Rohm and Haas' wax compounds technology and product lines, manufacturing equipment, and other business assets. The products include wax compounds for sheet-fed and heat-set printing processes, as well as solvent-based compounds and water-based wax emulsions. Hexion will transfer the wax compounds production from Rohm and Haas' facility in France to one of its own production plants.
