) announced today that it is ramping up its busbar n. 1. an electrical conductor that makes a common connection between several circuits.

 production at Rogers Technologies Suzhou Co. Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Rogers, located in Suzhou, China. This is in response to the increasing demand for busbars (power distribution components) in Asia. The production site is part of the already existing Rogers' 10,000 m(2) manufacturing campus, where 1,500 m(2) are reserved for busbar production.

This $1.7 million investment is aimed at increasing the service level to Asian and Australian customers by shortening lead times and offering regional support. Today the facility employs engineers and operators from the local area with plans to hire more personnel by year-end 2005. Rogers' worldwide busbar activities are coordinated by the Company's busbar technical center and primary manufacturing facility in Gent, Belgium.
