Rockwell Receives $38 Million Air Force VLF Communications Award to Modify Existing Miniature Receive Terminals.

:ROK) has received a $38 million award to develop a design to modify existing Government Miniature Receive Terminals (MRTs) and COMSEC (COMmunications SECurity) A term used primarily by the military to denote measures for ensuring secure communications, including integrity and confidentiality during transmissions.  devices for the U.S. Air Force. Rockwell's Communications Systems Division will lead the team, which includes Rockwell's North American Aircraft Modification Center, Raytheon's CTAS CTAS Center-TRACON Automation System

 division, Lockheed-Martin Command and Control Systems, Lockheed Martin Federal Systems, and GTE.

Installation of the initial MMRTs in the E-6B and MMLCCs will be completed by CTAS, Lockheed Martin and GTE. Lockheed Martin Federal Systems will modify the Mission Computer System of the E-6B. Installation of the MMRT into the E-4B will be performed at the North American Aircraft Modification Center.
