Rockrose signs second East Coast retail tenant.


Rockrose Development Corporation has executed its second retail lease at EastCoast, its new luxury residential development in Long Island City.

 Wine and Spirits has signed a 5 year lease for 1,000 s/f on the ground floor of the first of Rockrose's EastCoast seven-building complex. The store, at 4720 Center Boulevard, will have an entrance adjacent to the residential lobby and is expected to open in July July: see month.  of 2007.

Rockrose Development was represented in house by Patricia Dunphy and Joe Miller. Stephen Spiller, owner of Blue Streak, negotiated his lease.

Rockrose has previously signed a lease with Duane Reade Duane Reade is a chain of drugstores/convenience stores, primarily located in New York City. History
Founded in 1960, the chain started with three stores, named after the location of the company's warehouse between Duane and Reade Streets on Broadway in lower Manhattan.

East Coast consists of approximately 20 acres of land in the northernmost section of Queens West on the waterfront in Long Island City, and will be comprised of 2.9 million square feet of mixed-use space (2,900 luxury rental apartments, sophisticated condominiums and retail spaces), surrounded sur·round
