Rockefeller Foundation buys five floors at 420 Fifth Ave.


With the purchase of five floors of 420 Fifth Avenue, the Rockefeller Foundation Rockefeller Foundation, philanthropic institution established (1913) by John D. Rockefeller, Sr., to promote "the well-being of mankind throughout the world." During its first 14 years the foundation received $183 million from Rockefeller.  announced it will move its New York New York, state, United States
New York, Middle Atlantic state of the United States. It is bordered by Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and the Atlantic Ocean (E), New Jersey and Pennsylvania (S), Lakes Erie and Ontario and the Canadian province of
 operations - the home office of the organizations -- to an 87,500square-foot office condominium in the Fifth Avenue property.
