Rockefeller & Co. Names State Street's Jeffrey P. Davis Chief Investment Officer.

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 21, 2001

James S. McDonald, CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  of Rockefeller & Co., today announced the appointment of Jeffrey P. Davis as chief investment officer.

Since 1997, Mr. Davis has been chief investment officer of the Global Fundamental Strategies Division of State Street Global Advisors; a division that manages more than $4 billion in institutional assets and advises on $18 billion of high net worth assets. Mr. Davis joined State Street in 1992 and has served in a variety of senior investment professional positions.

Mr. Davis is an active external speaker and frequent contributor to financial news media.

In announcing Mr. Davis' appointment, Mr. McDonald said:
