Rock gigs to aid cancer teenagers.

TWO venues in Coventry, along with seven others nationwide, are today hosting charity events in aid of young people with cancer.

Entry is by a suggested donation of pounds 3.

The gig at the The Golden Cross, in Hay Lane, opens at 2pm, featuring bands including The Floss McEntyre, Orius, The Satin Dolls, Russian Gun Dogs, The Escape and Tmart & The Raiders.

There will also be acoustic sets from John and Kristy Gallacher, among others.

At the Dog and Trumpet, in Hertford Street, doors open at 6pm and the line-up includes Fancy Nancy, Something Rotten, A Dear Investment, Sion, Silent Screams and Stoneskin.
