Mr. Jones also announced that as a result of the combination of Camden National Bank and UnitedKingfield Bank, Mr. Robinson has been named Chairman-designee of Camden National Bank, and will become chairman at the time of the merger of the two banks. Mr. Jones will remain a director of Camden National Bank as well as continue as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Camden National Corporation.

"Win has been a very valuable member of the Camden National Corporation and UnitedKingfield boards of directors," Mr. Jones said. "Having a person the caliber of Win as chairman of Camden National Bank is an exciting opportunity."

Mr. Robinson also served as a Director of Kingfield Bank ("Kingfield") since 1976 and was elected Chairman of the Board in 1986. Concurrent with Kingfield's merger with United Bank in February 2000, Mr. Robinson became Chairman and a Director of the newly formed UnitedKingfield Bank.
