Having existed or persisted for a long time: a longtime friend; a longtime resident of Detroit. longtime Adjective contributor to THE NEW AMERICAN, passed away on November 3. Bob's byline appeared in our very first issue (September 30, 1985), and his articles have appeared regularly in these pages ever since, including, in recent years, his popular "Exercising the Right" and "The Goodness of America" columns. Bob's history with us predates TNA's inception. In 1960, he joined The John Birch Society John Birch Society, ultraconservative, anti-Communist organization in the United States. It was founded in Dec., 1958, by manufacturer Robert Welch and named after John Birch, an American intelligence officer killed by Communists in China (Aug., 1945). , of which this magazine is an affiliate. Beginning in 1965, he wrote for American Opinion and, later, The Review of the News, predecessors of TNA TnA Total Nonstop Action (wrestling alliance) TNA The National Archives (UK) TNA Training Needs Analysis TNA Tamil National Alliance (Sri Lanka) . Until 1976, he submitted those articles from Washington, where he served on the JBS JBS John Birch Society JBS Journal of Biosocial Science JBS Journal of Business Strategies JBS Johnson Behavioral System JBS Johanson-Blizzard Syndrome JBS Journal of British Studies JBS Jamaica Bureau of Standards JBS Journal of Biomolecular Screening staff.
