Robert N. Ryan, Jr., named Assistant to Management for Texaco.


WHITE PLAINS, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 4 - Robert N. Ryan, Jr., has been named Assistant to Management in the office of Senior Vice President C. Robert Black Robert Black may refer to:

Ryan currently serves as Assistant Division Manager in the Offshore Division of Texaco Exploration and Production Inc. (TEPI TEPI Training Equipment Planning Information ) in New Orleans New Orleans (ôr`lēənz –lənz, ôrlēnz`), city (2006 pop. 187,525), coextensive with Orleans parish, SE La., between the Mississippi River and Lake Pontchartrain, 107 mi (172 km) by water from the river mouth; founded . In his new assignment, he will relocate to Texaco's corporate offices in Harrison, N.Y.

Ryan joined Texaco in 1979 as a geologist in New Orleans, and subsequently held a variety of professional geological positions of increasing responsibility in exploration and production assignments including offshore lease evaluations, drilling proposals, oil and gas field studies and well-site evaluations. In 1989 he was appointed Area Manager for the Eastern Gulf of Mexico in TEPI's Offshore Division in New Orleans.

In 1990, through the President's Commission on Executive Exchange in The White House, Ryan was appointed Staff Assistant in the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Conservation and Renewable Energy in the U.S. Department of Energy in Washington, D.C. He returned to Texaco in 1991 as a Staff Coordinator for TEPI in Houston, and in 1993 was named to his latest position in New Orleans.
