Robert Moses' Kin.

[ILLUSTRATION OMITTED]

Choreographer Robert Moses is continuously challenging perceptions--his and ours. His 10 dancers perform with a lush gutsiness that buoys formal values with a no holds-barred energy. The upcoming show features the exuberantly fragmented Lucifer's Prance; Speaking Ill of the Dead, with its haunting refrain of "We regret to inform you"; and The Wall, resplendent with verbal banter between Moses and word artist Aleta Hayes (formerly a stunning dancer with Jane Comfort). A world premiere of Jokes Like That Can Get You Killed, created with support from Stanford Lively Arts, explores ideas about language, race, and community. Dec. 8, Stanford Lively Arts, CA.
