Robert Mondavi/Errazuriz New Chilean Wine Venture.OAKVILLE, Calif. and SANTIAGO, Chile--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 25, 1995--Robert Mondavi Winery and Vina Errazuriz announced today the signing of a letter of intent to form a 50/50 joint venture to acquire the assets associated with the Caliterra line of Chilean premium and super premium wines, which currently has worldwide sales in excess of 250,000 cases. In addition to the acquisition of the Caliterra line, the joint venture will produce and market ultra premium Chilean red and white wines under a new proprietary name with the endorsement of both companies.
