Robert Gudbranson has been named director of investor relations Investor relations

He most recently served as director of finance for Invacare's European operations headquartered in Tours, France.

In his new role, Gudbranson will focus on identifying and assessing new business opportunities for Invacare. In addition, he will provide general oversight responsibility for the company's investor relations function. Gudbranson reports to A. Malachi Mixon, III, chairman and chief executive officer, on an interim basis until the company identifies a new chief financial officer. Thomas R. Miklich, who had served as Invacare's CFO See Chief Financial Officer. , resigned in April 2002.

Prior to joining Invacare in 1998, Gudbranson was assistant treasurer for risk management and strategic planning for Lincoln Electric Company. He has a bachelor of arts degree from Yale University and a master of arts Master of Arts
