The Ministry of Culture and Communications building in Paris, recently modified by architect Francis Soler, features 5000sqm of steel mesh by Arcelor. To harmonise the two buildings, each from different periods, the screen also moderates the building's exposure to solar gain Solar gain (also known as solar heat gain or passive solar gain) refers to the increase in temperature in a space, object or structure that results from solar radiation. . The screen is made from laser cut Inox Uranus 35N steel plates, 12mm thick.
