ARLINGTON, Va. -- Roam Secure Inc., the leader in text-based emergency communications, today announced its national expansion, into the Northwest, Northeast, Southeast, Southwest, South central and North central regions of the United States. The company also announced the addition of Nick Akers, Senior Vice President of Sales to its executive leadership team.

Leading the Southeastern region, Roam Secure Vice President Oliver Oetterer has been in the government technology industry for more than ten years. Oetterer has been responsible for delivering technology to more than 70 public safety agencies in the Southern United States, and has also taken government software portfolios to the international market.

Peter Jafuta is heading the North central Region as Vice President of Business Development. Mr. Jafuta's previous experience has included providing enterprise mobility solutions in the state and local government marketplace throughout the Midwest. Mr. Jafuta has been a business development leader in the public safety and wireless communications industry for more than eight years.

Seasoned professional Elizabeth Fritsche will focus on the Southwest and Central regions as well as Federal accounts. Ms. Fritsche has more than 20 years of executive sales experience specializing in information technology enterprise solutions. Prior to joining the Roam Secure team Ms. Fritsche worked as a Client Executive for IBM representing the company's entire portfolio of hardware, software, service, research and development, and storage in the Federal Classified accounts and the commercial divisions. Twenty-four year veteran of the public sector software industry, Bill Josko will run Roam Secure's Northeastern expansion. Before joining Roam Secure, Mr. Josko was president of Government Technologies Group (GTG), which he founded in 1992, which focused on selling software, integration, mobility, and interoperability solutions for public safety agencies. Career highlights include authoring a $2.7m COPS-MORE Grant, which led to software deployment of integrating 150 multi-jurisdictional public safety agencies in a New Jersey County and Marketing Specialist for IBM.

Michael Dougherty, previously based out of Roam Secure's headquarters in Arlington, VA has joined Roam Secure's West Coast office. Mr. Dougherty will head up Northwest regional sales. In addition to his experience at Roam Secure Mike has experience overseas as a business project manager and is a volunteer firefighter. Mike is also Director on the Board of the Glen Echo Fire Department and chair of the volunteer organization Rescue Corps that brings emergency medical, fire/rescue, and disaster response services to communities in need around the world.

With experience deploying and managing the regional text alert system for the National Capital Region and the highest levels of U.S. government, Rick Tiene, Vice President of Homeland Security Solutions, will assist the national sales team and their customers. In his new role he will provide the team with experience from lessons learned in developing regional alerting systems, as well as this extensive knowledge of the communication needs of first responders and the homeland security sector.

The entire team is under the stewardship of Nick Akers, Senior Vice President of Business Development. Mr. Akers oversaw the sales growth of a relational database firm from start-up, to forty consecutive quarters of growth and profitability. The publicly traded firm, now part of IBM Corporation, had thousands of customers and operations across the US and worldwide.
