Roadway Invited to Join Mexican Trucking Association.


AKRON, Ohio--(AutomotiveWire)--Dec. 21, 1998--Akron, Ohio-based Roadway Express Roadway is an operating company within YRC National Transportation, a division of YRC Worldwide which is headquartered in Overland Park, Kansas. The company services all (50) states as Roadway, services Canada with its subsidiary, Reimer Express. , Inc. (Nasdaq:ROAD) has recently been invited to join the Camara Nacional del Autotransporte de Carga (CANACAR CANACAR Cámara Nacional del Autotransporte de Carga (Mexico) ). Roadway is the first less-than-truckload (LTL LTL - Linear Temporal Logic ) motor carrier to become a member of the Mexican trucking association.

Roadway recently entered into a contract agreement with two Mexican companies -- Autotransportes Especializados GM Express SA de CV of Nuevo Laredo and Guadalajara-based Servicios Corporativos de Transporte SA de CV -- to supply two dozen, new tractors dedicated exclusively for Roadway's use. Roadway is using the services of the contracted fleet to haul its pickup and delivery and over-the-road trailers in Mexico.

In addition to LTL service, Roadway provides many of its specialized offerings throughout Mexico. These range from published service standards and scheduled pickup and delivery to special handling options such as Truckload, Exclusive Use and Freezables Protection services.
