Road warriors.

UALR's 15 SUN BELT CONFERENCE wins marked a school record, as did the 11 wins during the season on the road. UALR was 11-3 on the road and 11-4 at home during the regular season.

While the records indicate as much, UALR seemed at times this year to be a more consistent team on the road over 40 minutes.

"So often people talk about the environment you play in [for home games] but you control it on the road," UALR coach STEVE SHIELDS said. "You know when they're eating pregame, you know when they're eating breakfast in the morning, you know when they're eating the night before. I think we've been a good team on the road as well as home. We certainly have a beautiful place to play at home and our fans have been involved this year."

Senior forward SHANE EDWARDS said, "I think when we're on the road, we feel like we have to go out there and give everything we've got. It's real tough to win on the road in some of the environments we play in, and you can't expect anybody to roll over. They have somewhat of an advantage with their home crowd, but we feel like we can go out and play with anybody on the road. It's just that confidence level."
