Road Runner Races Past 250,000 Customer Milestone.


RESTON, VA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 6, 1999--Road Runner, the high-speed online service jointly owned by Time Warner, MediaOne Group, Microsoft Corp., Compaq Corp., and Advance/Newhouse, announced today that it had in excess of 250,000 subscribers as of the end of first quarter `99. Installations have surged across the nation with all Road Runner affiliates reporting higher weekly installations and decreasing churn.
